The first four channels have a combo-input jack that accepts 1/4" or XLR, and the first two have preamp switches to run instruments directly into the mixer. DI boxes are always a great idea if you are running long lines to the mixer or if the venue has a lot of interference causing noise in the channel. The mixer has external power PSU-001. The mixer is versatile and can be used in multiple settings, whether it be for live performance, recording or anywhere in between. The mixer can easily handle a live recording job and even export the recording for a mix-down or remix if needed in any DAW. It can also be used for karaoke. The mixer has powerful features, is very configurable, and has a big power and small footprint. It has up to 100 mix saves, and up to 12 iPads can be set up with concurrent connections and configured to control whatever you allow. You can allow band members to control only their monitor mix and nothing else. However, the touch screen is reported to be awful, with very unresponsive on-screen buttons. It's virtually impossible to responsively select and drag a fader precisely. As a result, users recommend using a tablet. The screen resolution, RTA, and LED screen update need improvement. Users were also disappointed that there was no instruction manual.
