The Van Ness Large Enclosed Cat Pan is a well-made litter box that is suitable for small cats or kittens. However, it is not recommended for larger cats as it is too small to comfortably accommodate them. The box is sturdy and deep enough for litter, though the snaps on the sides are cheap and sometimes do not work. The box comes with a filter that can be rinsed and reused after being changed every three months. It also has a plastic door that can be removed if your cat is afraid of it. However, the door flap tends to fall off easily. The product does not come with a sifting tray or a replacement odor door, which can be ordered separately from Van Ness Pet Products. The litter box is perfect for limiting litter thrown around and keeping smells in. The box also made it possible for cats to stop spraying on the wall. It is easy to clean and looks nice. However, the product's entrance flap has been reported to get stuck, so some users prefer to remove it.
