Friendship Editorial Review
**** The latest installment in the Shatter Me universe, "Watch Me," has captivated readers with its emotional depth and nostalgic reunions with beloved characters. Set ten years after the original series, this book offers a refreshing perspective, shifting from the grim realities of the past to a more uplifting narrative filled with humor and warmth. Readers are treated to the growth of original characters, particularly James, who transitions from a child to a confident, charming adult, and Rosabelle, a new protagonist introduced as a fierce assassin on a mission. The author, Tahereh Mafi, continues to weave intricate stories with her characteristic lyrical Prose. Reviewers have praised her ability to blend tension, character development, and humor seamlessly throughout the narrative. Many have engaged deeply with the emotional arcs presented, expressing joy at rekindling relationships among the original cast, including Kenji, Warner, and Juliette. Such encounters imbue the story with a sense of familiarity and comfort for long-time fans. Though some suggest that "Watch Me" can be read as a standalone, readers recommend experiencing the original series for a richer emotional impact. The new plot twists and character dynamics keep the audience on the edge of their seats, particularly towards the end, leaving them eager for more. Overall, "Watch Me" is hailed as a must-read for fans of the Shatter Me series, offering not just a continuation but an invigorating exploration of character and theme that resonates deeply with its audience. **
