Product Details
- The Adam Audio D3V 3.5 80W Desktop Monitor is a fully active monitoring system meticulously crafted for songwriters, producers, and audiophiles who seek the renowned ADAM Audio sound quality in a compact and convenient format. Available in sleek white or black finishes, these active monitors embody ADAM Audio's German industrial design heritage, featuring the iconic golden ribbon tweeter. Each pair is equipped with 3.5 aluminum woofers powered by an 80W amplifier and a ferrite magnet system, ensuring powerful and precise sound reproduction. The woofers are complemented by dual-sided 3.5 passive radiators, allowing the D3V to achieve impressive low-frequency extension down to 45 Hz.ADAM Audio's 25 years of expertise in ribbon tweeter technology culminates in the 1.5 D-ART (Desktop Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter), delivering precise and fatigue-free high-frequency reproduction. The D3V's innovative design includes a USB-C input, transforming the system into a digital output device when connected to computers or mobile devices, eliminating the need for an additional audio interface. This plug-and-play functionality ensures high-quality audio playback without the typical compression or conversion issues. For traditional analog audio applications, the D3V features balanced 1/2 TRS inputs, accommodating connections to audio interfaces, synthesizers, drum machines, and more. The left speaker's backplate offers user-friendly switches to address common acoustical challenges related to speaker placement, desk size, and room acoustics. The front panel includes a headphone socket and a multifunctional volume knob for audio input selection, muting, and other controls. The D3V comes with detachable monitor stands angled at 15 degrees for optimal listening, and a standard threaded 3/8 hole for microphone stand mounting. The injection-molded ABS Polycarbonate cabinet is designed with thick walls and ample bracing to minimize vibrations and unwanted resonances, while its rounded shape reduces sound diffraction at high frequencies, maintaining ADAM Audio's commitment to superior design and performance.Optimized using ADAM Audio's state-of-the-art Klippel measurement system, the D3V's aluminum woofers and ferrite magnet system provide a linear motor for the woofer, minimizing distortions and delivering uncolored sound even at high output levels. The D-ART tweeter, with its hand-folded diaphragm and 40W amplifier, incorporates DSP-managed crossover fine-tuning for exceptional audio clarity. The dual-sided passive radiators, featuring a stainless-steel plate and long-stroke rubber surround, enhance the system's low-frequency response and overall sound pressure level. In summary, the Adam Audio D3V 3.5 80W Desktop Monitor offers a sophisticated and versatile solution for high-quality audio monitoring, combining advanced technology, elegant design, and user-friendly features to meet the demands of modern audio professionals and enthusiasts.
