It is not meant to be used on camera and is only slightly better than a bare flash at best. However, when used on an off-camera flash and positioned close to the subject it can create softer light. The product comes with a zippered pouch and is of high quality, surpassing a similar product they previously owned. The reviewer was able to take a great picture of their dog with this mini softbox and plans on using it for children and flowers in the future.
