What is the Redding Imperial Application Media RED-07900 used for?

The Redding Imperial Application Media RED-07900 is primarily used for applying case resizing lube to metallic cases in handloading processes. This specially formulated media ensures a smooth, even application, which reduces the risk of case sticking during resizing. By using this product, reloaders can enhance efficiency and safeguard the quality of their reloads. It's particularly beneficial for those who engage in high-volume reloading, ensuring consistent results without the hassle of over-application.

How do I apply the Redding Imperial Application Media?

Applying the Redding Imperial Application Media is straightforward. Simply pour a small amount of the media into a case lube pad or a clean, dry container, and then roll your cases in the media. This method ensures even coverage and allows for easier resizing. Additionally, you can use a spray application for larger batches. Reloaders often implement this method to maintain a clean workspace, ensuring that every case receives the right amount of lube for optimal performance.

Is the Redding Imperial Application Media safe for all types of brass?

Yes, the Redding Imperial Application Media is formulated specifically to be safe for all types of brass cases. Its unique composition minimizes the risk of damaging your cases, unlike some homemade options that may lead to buildup or corrosion. Many experienced reloaders prefer this media precisely for its compatibility, making it ideal when working with various cartridge types, ensuring reliable performance every time.

Can I use Redding Imperial Application Media on rifle and pistol cases?

Absolutely! The Redding Imperial Application Media is versatile and suitable for both rifle and pistol cases. This adaptability is crucial, as reloaders often switch between different calibers and types of ammunition. By ensuring smooth resizing for both types, users can enjoy a more streamlined reloading process, paving the way for enhanced performance in various shooting applications.

How much Redding Imperial Application Media do I need?

The amount of Redding Imperial Application Media required depends on the volume of cases you're reloading. Generally, a small amount goes a long way—often just a few ounces can coat hundreds of cases. Reloaders often find that having a dedicated storage or application method helps in maintaining a sufficient supply, without waste. Start with a minimal application and adjust as you become more familiar with your reloading needs.

Can I mix the Redding Imperial Application Media with other lubricants?

It's not recommended to mix Redding Imperial Application Media with other lubricants, as this can lead to unpredictable results and possibly damage your cases. The media is formulated to work effectively on its own. For best results, stick to using it exclusively as directed. This helps maintain the integrity of the application process, which is crucial for achieving seamless resizing and reloading.

Does Redding Imperial Application Media stain cases?

No, Redding Imperial Application Media is designed to be non-staining and will not leave marks on your brass cases. This feature is particularly beneficial for reloaders who are concerned about aesthetics and the cleanliness of their finished products. Using this media ensures that cases look as good as they perform, giving reloaders peace of mind that their ammunition is both visually appealing and functionally sound.

How should I store Redding Imperial Application Media?

To keep your Redding Imperial Application Media in optimal condition, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. An airtight container is ideal for preventing contamination and evaporation. Proper storage ensures that the application media retains its effectiveness and maintains its intended properties, which is essential for consistent reloading performance over time.

Is Redding Imperial Application Media environmentally friendly?

While the Redding Imperial Application Media is formulated for performance, it may not be entirely biodegradable. However, many users find it to be less harmful compared to other lubricants on the market. Always follow local guidelines for disposal to mitigate environmental impact. Knowing how to properly handle and dispose of any reload products contributes to a more responsible reloading practice.
