Pippin [DVD]

The reception of the "Pippin" DVD seems to be mixed, with some customers expressing disappointment and others being satisfied with their purchase. One customer, who was a fan of the LaserDisc version and the original William Katt performance, was not happy with this version. They mentioned that parts were skipped and the ending was changed in a way that they found lackluster. Another customer found the DVD too vulgar for their taste and said they needed a shower after watching it. On the other hand, one customer had a positive experience with their purchase. They praised the seller for a "like new" DVD that arrived in excellent condition and earlier than promised. They mentioned that the DVD had no scratches or dents and appreciated the seller's excellent transaction. However, another customer complained about the streaming quality, implying that it was not up to par. A customer who bought the DVD specifically for their wife, a Ben Vereen fan, had concerns about the audio/video quality and the lack of independent reviews. However, they found the A/V quality to be decent enough to not distract from the performance, and they were happy with the overall experience. Another customer mentioned that they enjoyed the performance as one of their favorite shows, but they were disappointed that it wasn't the 1972 Broadway version they were expecting. They still appreciated Ben Vereen and the rest of the cast. Overall, the reviews for the "Pippin" DVD are mixed, with some customers satisfied with the purchase and others disappointed with various aspects such as skipped parts, changed ending, vulgar content, and audio/video quality concerns.
