The V.ALRT Wireless Personal Emergency Alert Device is designed to offer convenience and peace of mind for seniors and anyone who may need emergency assistance. It is easy to use and can contact any number stored in the user's phone contact list. The device can activate automatically if set according to instructions or by pressing and holding down the button for about 2 seconds. It comes with a wristband, but the largest it can adjust to is 8 1/4 inches in circumference. There is also a fall detection feature the user can turn on, but it requires wearing the device around the neck with a shortened lanyard that lays about 3/4 down the sternum. The device works with an iPad as long as there is a data connection. The device battery can be easily replaced with a CR2032 battery available at any local drugstore or retail store. However, there is no video yet on the support site showing how to change the battery. Overall, V.ALRT seems to offer some good features for emergency situations, but it is worth testing it out to make sure it contacts the emergency contacts as expected since it has had some inConsistent reviews from users.
