The joystick controller is not functional for many games, so it is better to use a USB keyboard to play some games that require additional keys or directional keys. Although it has only two USB ports, users can use a USB hub to connect multiple USB keyboards/joysticks and external USB drives full of games. Some pre-installed games may not be of high quality, and many games require a keyboard rather than a joystick to play. Moreover, it needs a power plug (not included) to use with the micro USB cable, and the joystick cable is a bit short. Overall, for people seeking to recreate the experience of their childhood, the C64 Mini is a fun and affordable micro-Console.
