Rated: NR Format: DVD Horror Editorial Review

Japanese Horror Anthologies is a collection of short horror episodes based on the stories of a famous horror writer in Japan. Although not the scariest collection, the stories are heartwarming and offer emotion and surprisingly good acting. Some of the standout episodes include "A View Finder's Memory," "Chain Mail," and "Left Behind the Mountain." However, the acting in the first story can come across as fake. Overall, the collection is good for those interested in short, culturally based horror films.
