Users should avoid using anything Singer or Brother on this machine. The machine includes a 4-stage buttonhole, which is easy to use but not automatic like an electronic machine. The buttonhole is a standard type for non-stretch fabrics, while stretch fabrics require a special-designed buttonhole stitch. The machine sews beautifully and with ease, is easy to thread, and comes with a good instruction book. However, the letters on the machine are basically useless, and the plastic extended parts for the thread spools and the cover for the bobbin casing may not last.
